I love one pot meals. They are fast, easy and perfect for nights when you don't have a lot of energy to make something at home.
ingredients
- 1½ lbs. ground beef
- 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes. You could also use the equivalent amount of thick spaghetti sauce. If you do, cut down on the spices.
- 3 cups water
- 12 oz. uncooked spaghetti, broken into 3-inch pieces (it's important to break up the spaghetti so the noodles don't stick to each other in the pot)
- Shredded Parmesan cheese
directions
Brown ground beef in a large saucepan with a lid; drain. Add remaining ingredients; stir to blend. Cover, reduce heat to simmer; cook 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir occasionally to separate pasta. Add additional water if spaghetti becomes too dry. Garnish with shredded Parmesan cheese if desired. Makes 6 servings.
